Description |
Rhizome short; rhizome scales lanceolate in outline, margins without extensions, cells dark-walled. Fronds closely spaced. Stipe 20-30 cm long, greenish with purple spots, base with scales, otherwise glabrous. Lamina 25-35 x 15-20 cm, imparipinnate, terminal pinnae resembling lateral ones but often proliferous and long & gradually narrowed and carrying a bud at its top. Pinnae 5-7 paires, subopposite, petiolate, oblong-lanceolate in outline, apex gradually tapering to a point, base slightly unequal, margins wavy to lobed; veins spaced, simple or forked. Costa prominent below, much lighter than lamina. Sori short, not reaching the costa or the margin. |
